Stephen Forster
Stephen started his catering management career working in Business and Industry at Thorn EMI in Spennymoor. From there he moved into a training role with the HCITB – looking after their training programmes in Tyneside and Northumberland. In 1992 a move into Local Authority Catering Services came when he started his long-term commitment to working in the school meals sector in Durham.
In 1994 Stephen along with the entire service was TUPE transferred to Chartwells with the outsourcing of the service from Durham County Council. Having worked in operations, change management and mobilisation roles., his current role is leading the development of client solutions for school catering services to local authorities throughout the UK.
He has been an active member of LACA since 1993 participating in many local and regional events and joined the LACA Board as regional representative for the North East and Scotland in April 2014.
Married for 27 years to Nicola, they have 1 daughter Sarah and continue to live in Durham.
