Bonnie Baker

Bonnie is a farmer’s daughter and a passionate advocate for British farming.  She grew up alongside her brother on their arable family farm in Suffolk, where she learnt the ins and outs of agriculture and was immersed from a young age in all aspects of country life.

After completing A-Levels, Bonnie moved to London to kick start her career in the capital.  She lived in leafy West Hampstead for 4 years until retreating home to her country roots during the pandemic.  It was then that she set up her country lifestyle Instagram account ‘by Bonnie’ and began documenting life on the farm, seasonal foraging, and insights into the agricultural industry. Her community began to grow, and she realised people were increasingly interested in understanding field to fork. 

Three years on, Bonnie uses her Instagram platform to champion British farmers and the British food system, highlighting seasonal fruit & veg each month and sharing seasonal recipe ideas too.  She documents supporting local farm shops, pubs, or other businesses which champion seasonal or local ingredients and she particularly enjoys collaborating with small businesses who support the agricultural industry or embody seasonal living.

When Bonnie isn’t at her 9-5 desk, you’ll find her writing seasonal articles for Femme Country Magazine and bi-monthly blogs for The Country Girls UK.
