British Food Fortnight 2026
25 years. One Shared Love of British Food
For 25 years, Love British Food has worked at grassroots and industry level to
strengthen the market for British food. By uniting farmers, communities and the
food supply chain, we spark pride in home-grown produce and help create a
resilient, sustainable domestic food market where everyone benefits.
Now, in our landmark anniversary year, we’re inviting the nation to come
together once again to help strengthen the roots that feed us all, from farm to
menu to community.
At the heart of the celebrations is British Food Fortnight, running from 26
September – 11 October 2026, the biggest national celebration of British food
on the calendar.
From schools and hospitals to pubs, restaurants, retailers, care homes and
communities, this is your chance to be part of a nationwide movement
celebrating the diverse and delicious food produced in this country.

Why Love British Food Matters Now More Than Ever
British food is a national asset, but the people and systems that feed us are under increasing pressure.
Farmers and the wider food supply chain face growing cost and confidence challenges. Food security is firmly back on the national agenda. Public sector
catering is under greater scrutiny. And too many people across Britain still struggle to access quality food.
This is where Love British Food has a role to play.
For 25 years, we’ve connected farming, foodservice, retail and communities through practical action that strengthens British supply chains and celebrates
seasonal, home-grown produce. We believe supporting British food should be easy, accessible and something everyone can take pride in.
Every time we choose British food, serve British produce or champion local sourcing, we help:
- Support British farmers and producers
- Strengthen food security and domestic supply chains
- Build confidence across the farming industry
- Celebrate sustainability, provenance and quality
- Make good British food more accessible to all
This year, we’re asking everyone to unite behind one shared call to action:
Make British your first choice.
