Moor Farm

The Timmis family has been farming in Baschurch since WWI. Moor farm is regenerative, and is home to Hereford cattle, Gloucester old spot pigs and free range chicken. They sell their produce in the brilliant family-run farm shop and cafe.
Along side the cattle, pigs and chickens, they also have arable land, solar panels and a grain storage and processing facility.

Arrive and gather at Moor Farm shop. Tea / coffee and introductions.

Tour of the farm guided by Melissa Timmis the farmer.
What we will see:
- Melissa will start off with a short history of the Farm and overview of the different enterprises
- Tour round the grain store, silage pit, cattle shed
- Melissa will explain how the solar panels directly supply the distribution unit
- Finally, a look at the pigs and orchard as well as the woodland walk

Lunch and discussion led by Iain Robertson, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, and Kushboo Naik, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Co-Chairs of the Love British Food Hospitals Working Group.
The working lunch and discussion will comprise of:
- An Overview of the Love British Food Hospitals Working Group: why it was set up, aims, activities and how you can get involved
- Update on the work of the Hospital Food Review: Phil Shelley, Chair of NHS Food Review and the Senior Operational & Policy Manager NHS E&I and Tim Radcliffe, Net Zero Food Programme Manager NHS England.
