Jo Bruce

Jo has over 20 years’ experience working in the pub industry, including 15 years at pub title the Morning Advertiser including as its food editor - writing about everything from Michelin-starred pubs and pub food trends to JD Wetherspoon’s new menus.

She was also managing editor of the title for three years, with responsibility for the content and development of many of its events and awards, including food study tours.

 

During her time on the Morning Advertiser she launched the Top 50 Gastropub Awards and chef cook-off competition The Pub Chef Food Excellence Awards and helped to relaunch The Publican Awards following their acquisition by William Reed.

 

For the past nine years she has had her own hospitality industry consultancy business, working on a range of pub-related projects, including judging the Great British Pub Awards and The Publican Awards.
