There are cuts and joints available to use all year round such as breast steaks, fillets, drumsticks, sausages, stir fry strips, burgers, and breast crown roasts...to name but a few. Turkey mince is great for burgers and bolognaise while diced turkey is ideal for stews, casseroles and kebabs - delicious grilled or barbecued.

These are just a few ways turkey can be used throughout the year and of course for 87% of people in the UK Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a traditional roast turkey.

The average weight of a Christmas turkey is 5.5kg/12lb.
