Nando's uses indoor-reared chickens, which are sourced from the UK, with the exception of some of the chicken breast fillets. Nando's chickens are housed in sawdust-bedded, well-ventilated barns and they have constant access to food and water. They are fed non-GM feed and are free from antibiotic growth promoters. Nando's adhere to strict standards laid out by the ACP (Assured Chicken Production) and are also regularly audited by a Nando's Welfare team. |

Pizza Hut source their ingredients from a number of British suppliers, particularly for their seasonal lines. For example, salad leaves in the summer are sourced from farms in Kent, cheese is produced in the UK using British milk and dough is UK-produced using a substantial amount of British wheat. |

Pret buys British and seasonal produce wherever possible e.g. English apple juice, English raspberries, wild strawberries for their compote, cherries, gooseberries and Wiltshire-cured ham.
They source all British beef, turkey, pork, ham, free-range eggs and organic milk. English cheeses like cheddar are also British.
Currently Pret sources its chicken from Brazil but has pledged to only sell British free-range chicken by 2012. |
