We caught up with Christian Butler, Owner of the Northbank Restaurant & Bar at Millennium Bridge in London to ask about his restaurant.

Northbank was created and opened in September 2007 and offers a Modern British menu with a Cornish influence showcasing exceptional ingredients sourced from Christians hometown of Falmouth and surrounding areas of Cornwall, and the south of England.  Fresh fish is delivered daily sourced from day boats off the Cornish coast.


Why do you do what you do?

Love working with food & drink.  Where else can I have all my favourite things in one place?!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Happy customers and happy staff!

What do you enjoy the least about your job?

Nothing - its all good :-)

What achievement for the restaurant are you most proud of?

10th birthday last October

Do you use British produce?

Yes - 99%

What do you think is best about using British produce?

Seasonal variety keeps our minds sharp


Why should people buy British?

Why not? British produce is world class.  I'm obviously biased towards the west country on top of that.

What is your most popular dish?

Depends on the time of year but our Lobster dishes seem very popular indeed.  Lobster, Fennel and Dill Lasagne with Bisque and Shellfish Oil - Delish.
