The Unusual Pork Pie Company Ltd are an artisan pie bakers, making unusual flavoured pork pies and meat pies. Using only locally sourced meats and certified Red Tractor Meats, the company was started 6 years ago by husband and wife team Clive & Trish Rayner and their son Scott. Now looking to expand due to winning Great Taste Awards along with many others.

Why do you do what you do?
I just love it, being part of a unique band of food producers is very rewarding.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Meeting so many different people at all the food shows and events that we attend plus hearing all their positive comments.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
There is nothing really, what isn't to like making people happy.
What achievements are you most proud of?
This years awards for the Great Taste awards, presented by the Guild of Fine Foods.
Why should we buy British produce?
There is nothing else that rivals British produce, it is the best.
How do you think we should promote British?
More TV advertising and social media.
If you were an advertising executive, what slogan would you use to promote British food?
You know what you are getting when you buy British, just ask your mum!
What is on the menu this evening?
We have just developed a new venison pie with sweet potato and herbs so will be tucking into that with the family.
