Producer of the Month: Owtons Butchers

Owtons Butchers in Southampton opened its first shop on the farm in 1976 to accommodate the amount of retail customers that were visiting our wholesale butchers depot. Our ethos is were possible we are selling Pork, Beef & Lamb from local farmers. We are members of the Q Guild of Butchers which is the top 120 butchers in the UK of which we are the current Supreme Champion for our Green Streaky Bacon. This award sits along side our many accolades for our sausages. We have also developed an award winning Black Pudding which has been best in Hampshire for the last 3 years running. Rob & Gill Owton's two sons joined the business and in 2005 have run the wholesale business. The Owton family can be traced back 600 years of farming and butchery on the farm.
