Case Study: Londis Peverills sold Proper Pasties for British Food Fortnight (and hot food sales soared by 43%!)
Atul Sodha who runs the local Londis Shop in Harefield near Uxbridge has been a longstanding supporter of British Food Fortnight. He has always found that
running British food promotions boosted sales, and this year was no exception!
In 2015 Atul stocked British made contact with Ben at the Proper Pasty Company and created a win-win situation for them both.
When Atul decided to stock the pasties he made a miscalculation with the quantities – he ordered 4 cases of 80 sausages rolls and 14 cases of 36-40 pasties! Realising his mistake only when the bill for £551.00 came in, he had a moment of doubt, but remained loyal to the cause for British Food fortnight…
Atul covered his investment in three days of non-stop sales and over a week and a half increased hot food sales by 43%.
“It's far exceeded expectations. For me it has confirmed that highlighting a genuine cause and championing a great product with backing of enthusiastic delivery, will alway generate the right response.”
