Blog:British Swimming Team enjoy team building event at Seasoned Cookery School
Seasoned, the renowned Derbyshire cookery school and supporter of Love British Food, recently welcomed the British Swimming team, including Adam Peaty and Molly Renshaw, for a bespoke team building evening.
Team building events at the school are created around the specific needs and objectives of the business or organisation. In this case, the Seasoned team worked with the nutritionists and coaches to ensure the dishes in the challenge were suitable for the swimming team's training diet.
Split into three teams, the challenge on this occasion was to create three restaurant standard dishes in each team. This means getting everyone involved to work together, discovering new skills and strengths in team members.
With the bespoke nature of these courses, all kinds of teams and organisations can create a motivating and enjoyable cooking or baking event. In addition to the British Swimming team, Seasoned has welcomed diverse businesses for team building events, from Unilever to the Intercontinental Hotel Group.
Olympic and World champion, Adam Peaty, said of his experience, "I really enjoyed the cooking experience and the friendly staff. I enjoy spending time in the kitchen, and as part of my life as an athlete, I have to be really diligent in my approach to cooking. I would recommend to anyone looking to learn more about what to do with food and enjoy a great activity and environment.”
Seasoned founder, Clare Major said, “Every team building event we create is different. But I think the British Swimming Team win for being the most competitive. These events are excellent for delivering benefits to businesses, from increased motivation to more effective team working. Yet on the day, people don't even think about that happening. They're too busy creating great food together.”
